So most would agree that September is the best month to be born, right? Well at least us in the Jones household would say so. This may all be due to the fact that both our birthday fall within this WONDERFUL month, and it doesn't hurt that the best season of the year, autumn is also during this time.
Anyway, our birthdays were wonderful, nice and relaxing! For my birthday (9/24) we filled the day with activities I love: eating, shopping, going to the movies and lounging around and watching TV and eating delicious ice cream cake! It was a great day and I appreciate all the wonderful birthday wishes!
For Chris's birthday (9/29), which I must point out was his quarter century birthday (which he was VERY excited about), unfortunately I was a bad wife and was busying during the morning with an educational conference I had to attend. However, I tried to make it up to him. We went to his favorite restaurant...CHILIES for lunch and then I came back and gave him his gifts. He was excited to find that he is now completely outfitted for his new found love, Golf. He finally was given a bag to hold the clubs my dad passed down to him. Also, he finally got the defining piece of everyone's golf collection... a driver! And of course he wasn't left without gloves, balls and tees. (You can see his gear pictured above). Well the originally plan was to go out and use his new equipment but it was a miserable day with rain and cold temperatures. So we decided to stay indoors and do one of Chris's other favorite activities, watch college football. But don't worry he still took some swings with his new driver in our apartment, which was scary in our small little place, but luckily nothing was broken. And of course we ended the night with his favorite meal, chicken stroganoff and watching the BYU game, which thankfully they won.
So thanks again to all for the birthday wishes, we really appreciate it!
