I LOVE AUTUMN!!!

Ok so I do not know this child in this picture but I saw it when I was online and I think it perfectly sums up how I feel about Autumn and I think Chris would agree. Whenever I see a pile of leaves on the ground I get this big childish grin on my face and I cannot resist kicking the leaves up with my feet, while the whole time embarrassing Chris. I just love the changing leaves that then fall and the crisp air. I adore being able to pull out my sweaters and begin to wear my pea coats and wrap scarfs around my neck. Lately it has been perfect weather here in Utah, sunny with that brisk fall air. So I am pretty happy.

Also another reason I love Fall is becuase to me it always mean "back to school" which being the geek I am I always LOVED going back to school each year. Well although I went back to school back in August to BYU, this past week I started going to a different school... an elementary school. For about a month I have and will be in a 5th grade classroom in Lindon, UT. Instead of going to my BYU classes I just go to the elementary school instead all day. I get to help out in the classroom, observe the teacher and teach some lessons. I feel really lucky, I have a great class and my partner (another BYU student) is a great friend of mine. I think some of the 5th grade boys were a little bummed to find out that my partner is engaged and that I am married, but hey its nice to know someone has a "crush" on you even if they are 4 foot nothing and about 11 years old. I am very excited because for next week me and my partner Lauren are going to teach a science unit on electricity with fun experiments like "racing pop cans" and making a light bulb light with just a wire and battery and a bulb. Hopefully all goes well and the students enjoy it. I am realizing more and more though that teaching is ALOT of work, but it is OH SO FUN!

Life is pretty good in general other than that. Chris has had a crazy week with two major tests, a paper and one all nighter! We both have been fairly sleep deprived this week, resulting in sluggish days and feeling oncoming sickness. I think part of this is due to our new job (well its not that new... we have been doing it for like a month now). But yes, I am a little embarrassed to admit but Chris and I are BYU custodians. Yes we wake up at 4 AM every morning (m-f) to clean for 3 hours in the ASB building. Other than the time its actually a very easy job, we get to work together and our supervisor is super nice. It just came to a point a month ago when neither of us had been employed for over a month or two we realized we needed to get something so we just took this job to get working and it is ok pay. So yeah I am pretty much going through my "bedtime" routine like by 9 everynight... so I feel like i am back in 3rd grade when I had such an early bedtime.

We both just ended out intramural flag football season this week, with both of our teams losing, but neither of us were that bummed. It was a fun season and I personally ended it with a bang with a BIG touchdown!!! WOOHOO! speaking of football, this week was a great week for BYU football with home games this past Saturday and Thursday that we got to go to.

ok well I will stop blabbing on and on about or rather simple and boring lives.

I don't think your lives are boring at all. :) I LIKE to hear about what you guys are up to. BYU custodians get paid pretty good too! Are you guys staying here or going home for Thanksgiving?

I had some pretty nice naps in the Smith Fieldhouse while I was a custodian at 4am!:) and then some more naps during class time when I was exhausted!

Well you have officially joined me as a Grandma. Wes says if you go to bed early you're a grandma. I'm in bed usually by ten most nights. A girl needs her beauty rest, especially if she wakes up at 4 am. Yuck! We miss you guys! Wes is still trying to convince me to drive to UT for the game Thanksgiving weekend, but I just don't want to make that journey with Brady. I am encouraging him to go though, so we'll see. You may have a guest if he comes. Have a fun weekend!
