So tonight, amidst our busy schedules we squeezed in a very fun FHE.
We began with the usual song and then moved on to our lesson. Chris put
together a great lesson, we read the tributes to Pres.Hinkley in the
insert that came with the Ensign and then we wrote our own "tributes"
and expressed our feelings for our wonderful late prophet.
But
the best part was the ACTIVITY. I have been wanted to do this for
awhile, but we finally got around to doing it. I have had a set of oil
paints and some canvases forever and so finally tonight we got to use
them. Both of use created small "masterpieces" with the intent to put
them in our living room, hence the green and black to match our decor.
Here is Chris's Amazing Argyle! (he might add more, maybe even some pictures of us...)
Here is my Fantastic Fleur de Lis! (which is still need to cut out and place in a frame)
(One of my "inspirations"... Van Gogh, in the background)
if you have any great FHE ideas, let us KNOW!

I love this idea!!! How fun! You know, I've always thought that when we have little kiddos someday, I'll give them a paintbrush and colors that match their room, and let them go, then frame their masterpieces and put them on the wall. Even better idea to do it yourself! :) Oh and I love the crazy picture of little Amanda. hehe!
Tell me what you think!
