This past week, on Monday, My grandfather passed away. He had been sick for sometime and we knew he would pass away soon. But this past weekend Chris and I flew out to the middle-of-nowhere- California (Porterville) to attend my grandpa's funeral. It was a bit of new experience for me, this being my first grandparent to pass away and really the first funeral I can really remember.
I am so glad I got the opportunity to go. It was so wonderful to reminiscing about my grandpa and be with all that side of the family (which rarely happens). I learned alot of new things about my grandfather, especially from all the old stories my dad and my aunts shared. I am just so glad I have the gospel in my life which makes these occasions a hopeful and joyous times instead of mourning and misery-filled times.
I love my grandpa and the man he was...

Amanda, we were so sorry to hear about your grandpa, he looks like such a cute man! He was a good looking young man as well. I am sure it has been hard for you. Now you have him on the other side routing for you, and keeping your kids company!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa Amanda (sorry this is sort of late). Holy cow though, I thought that was your brother when I first saw it. Brandon looks so much like him! I hope the end of student teaching is going well. I'm excited to see you at graduation in a couple of weeks!!
Tell me what you think!
