On Wednesday evening Chris and I went with Chris and Carter to go bowling... but all the lanes were taken with leagues. (side note: Those who bowl in leagues mean business... I mean like they use rolly backpack/bowling bags, have huge wrist guards to keep their form straight and bring their own fancy snacks-which actually means sliced cheese on Ritz crackers- to share with the league).
So instead the boys wanted to do to the driving range to hit a bucket of balls. That left Carter and I to entertain ourselves on the park benches behind the range. To do so we made goofy faces in the camera, let Carter take a stab at taking pictures of his dad golfing (pretty good for a 4 year old), play a rhyming game and overall just be goofy. It was actually a beautiful night so it was nice to just sit and relax. I also enjoyed watching the 8 year old girl come to hit ball with her had who had her own pink golf bag, leather golf gloves and driving skills that could be me ANY day (not that I really can drive much!). My favorite part of the night was seeing Carter walk around (forewarning...possibly offensive comment) like a old little Asian man in his flip flops with white socks on underneath. I should have taken a picture in all its glory. But to his defense he had an excuse... he had is socks on all ready to go bowling and just threw on his flip flops to get him there.
WE capped of the night eating In-a-out and watching so you think you can dance. (two things...)
OK first... I was always a little weary of I.N.O. becuase it seems to be such a fad/name brand thing. But I have since changed that perception. It is so popular becuase it really is that good. I used to never, EVER eat fast food burgers...but have slowly started adding them to my diet (ha)... and I.N.O. is not something that I don't think I could ever turn down now. I mean come on, who doesn't love a place that gives you placemats for your drive through orders... how considerate. The only beef (no pun intended) I have with the place is the fries need to always have salt put on them... or else they are a bit bland for my liking.
Second... kind of on a sad note. My sister-in-law Katie had tickets for both shows this week on SYTYCD. She promised to take some other people to the Wednesday night show but she offered to take us to the Thursday show. Well without details...I had a commitment on Thursday so we couldn't go ( I am kinda bummed I missed the cool Mia Michaels routine at the beginning and also seeing Jordin Sparks). But when we watched the show Wednesday Night it was fun to see Katie in the background! Also, some of the dances were amazing with week... my faves are still Joshua and Katee, Kherrington and Twitch (Twitchington), and I also like Mark and Matt (but they of course are not a couple). If you are not watching the show... you are REALLY missing out...like a fat kid missing out on a free all-you-can-eat buffet.

I was about to be upset when I read you were a bit weary about In-n-Out...so needless to say I'm glad you're sold. I LOVE that place!! You're just lucky enough to live close to one...or several. Fad or not, anybody that can rake in the business they do on any given day at any In-n-Out with 5 things on their menu has to be good!!
So you think you can dance is one of my new favorite shows! This is the first season I have watched it, and it is amazing. Watching that and eating an In-n-out burger, animal style, no tomato with some fries (they provide a salt packet so no more complaining, haha), a diet coke and a strawberry vanilla shake would be awesome! (that makes me sound like a fatty, I'm really not :)
Tell me what you think!
