Fighting:
Ok this is not what you think, no Chris and I are not having marital problems...Ha ha. The two of us are just brushing up on our 'fighting' skills. This morning I didn't feel like going to the gym with the late start we had. So I asked Chris (thinking for sure the answer would be 'no') if he wanted to do the Tae Bo tape his sister Heather had. To my shock he answered 'sure'. So we pushed back the coffee table and pushed play on the VCR. Billy Blanks got our heart rates up with his upper cuts and back kicks and of course his inspirational speeches. All I know is there is nothing like a man in a hi cropped shirt and leg warmers to get me going! Chris, Heather and I were sweating up a storm like ten minutes in! I just had a smile on my face the whole time to see Chris next to me giving his punches and kicks all he had! It was fun to be together and have a new way to work out. Next on the list is to talk Chris into going to a yoga or pilates class with me.
Dreaming:
Later in the day we spur of the moment got a babysitter for all the nieces and nephews and us adults went to lunch and then off to look at model homes. It has been a long time since I have walked through model homes and I forgot how much I enjoy it. It was like seeing one of my favorite pastimes, watching HGTV come to life! I love that my husband loves interior design and has strong opinions on it. Luckily we have very similar taste. The whole time we walked through we were thinking, "oooh, I like this" or "we could do this in our future house" and just DREAMING of our future home...which is probably far, far off in the distance. But we need to remember next time we get bored to just go find some model homes...great date idea!
Here are some pictures of some of the rooms we looked at. The four homes all had distinct color palates that they used throughout the whole house. They were 1. brown and robin's egg blue, 2. salmon, beige and brown, 3. Black and White (with hints of beige and grey) and 4. olive green, brown and orange.

Haha! I loved this post! I cannot even IMAGINE getting Talon to do that workout with me! Over his dead body! Haha. Glad you guys had fun.
I love model homes too! I haven't been in one for probably 8 years though. :( I really, really like the black and white and grey one. Beautiful! So calming and neutral too, don't you think? Which color scheme was your favorite?
I was wondering the same thing. Which is your favorite? And did you guys email me a pic of some curtains? I got a pic mail of curtains and figured you guys were going thru model homes...
Tell me what you think!
