Home Sweet Home

As I have been busily preparing my classroom, Chris has been working hard on job leads and in his spare time has been looking at some apartments online.

We thought we would probably stay at my parents until I felt more settled into my school year and then start hunting... however, we found this one on craigslist that meet all of our requirements (and we are pretty picky) so we thought "hey we will just call to set up a time to go look at it... thats all"

Well... the place was perfect and we knew it would be really tough to find another place that meet all our requirements for the same price. We were worried it would get snatched up and it would be gone and we would kick ourselves for not getting it... So WE GOT IT!

Here are some pictures from the listing, (we will take more later)

We weren't planning on moving so soon but we can on Tuesday, and actually it is kind of good, since Chris isn't super busy right now, he can slowly start moving us in (especially since its like 5 minutes from my parents house).

So here are some stats on the place:

  • it has never been lived in... so BRAND NEW
  • it has dark hardwood floors (which was a MUST for Chris)
  • it has nice appliances, including a Washer/Dryer
  • it has a gas fireplace
  • a huge patio
  • 2 bedroom,/2 baths (so we can easily have GUESTS!)
  • lots of closet space (which is a MUST for Me)
  • beautiful tile and granite
  • great community with tons of parks, trails, etc.
  • quaint little stores on the first floor of our building
  • a full office "niche" which has plenty of space
WE ARE SOOOO EXCITED!

OH. MY. GOSH. I have been looking at our bare-to-the-bones student apartment too long. This looks like the most luxurious place ever!!! It is gorgeous! The floors are beautiful, the layout is great, it looked like you have a porch, stainless steel appliances, washer & dryer...it just looks amazing. I'm curious as to how much the rent is, if that's not rude. :) Congratulations - what a fun place to live! I'm glad you snagged it! :)

Not too shabby! In fact a lot more luxurious than our 2nd apartment! We hope Chris gets a great job. We are anxious to visit. Will there be a bed in the guest room? We are excited for you.

Love,

Mom and Dad

HOLY COW. Amanda, this place looks awesome! It's so beautiful! It's exactly the type of place I've always wanted to live for a little while...in the city, high-rise condo feel, studio-looking. What a fun adventure! I'm excited for you.

Wow, we haven't checked blogs for a little bit and so we are just catching up. I am so happy for you. You will love 4th grade! Washington is different from Utah, but if you need any help just ask. We are planning on going to Disneyland again, but it looks like we won't be able to see you. Keep in touch!
