finally... The rest of Christmas/New Years

So after the airport drama we finally made it to sunny Palm Springs. We were there with Chris's family in the Marriott Time share there. It was nice to be away from snow and see some sunshine. It was wonderful being with Chris's family again and especially to see all the cute nieces and nephews.

It was a bit weird being away from my family for the first time on Christmas, but I actually was surprised with myself and I did just fine. The only major issue, which is still to be resolved between Chris and I, is which way are we going to present Santa's presents to our future children. TO WRAP OR NOT TO WRAP. I grew up with ALL presents wrapped, from Santa or not. However Chris grew up with Santa leaving out all the new toys. I am still not quite convinced unwrapped is the way to go. I personally get A LOT of satisfaction from unwrapping so I feel like I would be depriving my children of that pleasure, if Santa brought his presents unwrapped. There are pros to both side, but I won't bore you with them. BUT WHAT IS YOUR OPINION... do you WRAP or not??

I do not have pictures from christmas morning or before since I didn't bring my camera. However, towards the end of unwrapping gifts I got to open Chris's gift for me. I was SOOOO excited, I got a new DSLR Nikon Camera. I love it! It is so nice to have and it makes me want to go take a photography class right away! (also all other palm spring pictures are my my sister-in-laws computer... I will post them later)

-Me and my new camera!

After Palm Springs we headed to Chris's parents house. We got to continue to do many wonderful things like:
  • SHOP
  • got to the Long Beach Aquarium (see next post)
  • went to the ROSE PARADE for the first time(see next post)
  • hung out with the family
  • watched a lot of movies (i.e. Benjamin Button, Valkyrie, Desereaux, Wild Hearts Can't be Broke, Mickey Blue Eyes....)
Also during our trip Chris and I celebrated our TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY. Wow time flies. That day we went to Disneyland. Ha, yes I have a husband who is supportive of me acting like a little kid! It was QUITE busy, but we enjoyed the day, especially the new AMAZING Toy story ride (where I BEAT CHRIS!) and the Alladin show. (see pictures below)
-Us at Disneyland (sorry not the best pictures of us!ha!)

So there is a very quick recap (which probably doesn't do our trip justice, but I just wanted to finally be able to check this off my list!) of our trip to C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A!

I say wrapped - but in different wrapping paper.

Both Kenna and I had unwrapped growing up. We still had other presents to open and it separated Santa from all the rest. We are fans of unwrapped.

Jeff and I went throught the very same dilemna...I let him do the unwrapped, (it helps when you're dead tired on 12-24 and you don't want to see that stupid wrapping paper anymore!!!) and then I do Easter my way and not do the MAZE(no offense to anyone who does it). Compromise and make it your own!
