“Music does bring people together. It allows us to experience the same emotions. People everywhere are the same in heart and spirit".
I must agree with Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in that "Music is the universal language of mankind". I Saw this youtube video on someone else blog and just like this person, I was inspired by it. Now if you just take it at face value, it may not seem that special. However, as I sat and watched I realized there was not one sad face in that crowd of thousands of spontaneous gatherers. They didn't need to be Beatles experts or talented musicians to enjoy this experience. I am jealous that I was not there in
So I continued to reflect on the power of music in my life. I realized that some of the most profound moments or strong memories I have our wrapped up in music. Additionally, it almost always never fails that a well sung/played musical number in church will bring me to tears. That is why I shy away singing musical numbers alone in church because I know I will end up being way too emotional to sing.
“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.”
This is another clip of a song that never fails to feel my soul. I could never tire of listening to this prelude from Bach´s Cello Suite No. 1. The cello is undoubtedly my favorite string instrument. If when I am old and have time on my hands, maybe one day I learn how to play this beautiful instrument.
Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness. ~Maya Angelou
Chris and I went and saw the soloist a few weeks ago. (Now we were a bit disappointed in it because it didn’t quite live up toe the BIG expectations we had for it). However, it made me realize that even with a man with SEVERE mental illness, beautiful music can still touch him and radiate from him. Music can be enjoyed by ALL!
I am so grateful for music in the world and realize the profound effect it has on my life. “Music is what feelings sound like.” I could not agree more. Come on, think about it… haven’t you ever sang a bitter breakup song in the car at full blast after a bad day. What would you do without some good beats to work out to? How would many of us be able to put our finger on a feeling, without music? I truly believe that Music is a gift from our Heavenly Father.

I couldn't agree more with this post! Music is what draws out the very center of my soul and makes me feel and love so much more than I could have without it. What would we do without music?
Thank you so much for sharing this video!! I loved it! Not only for the actual song, but it really brought a smile to my face :) Music = amazing.
Tell me what you think!
