So let me sum up my spring break week with my family (but unfortunately without any more pictures). My mom and dad left on Wednesday that week to fly to SLC for our church's general conference and because my dad said he had special meetings for him as a stake president to attend.
The rest of the week I got to hang out with my grandma and Paydan (and Chris) at Newport Coast. We went out to eat, made puzzles, Played the game of LIFE, ate out, hung out at the pool, and Chris and I even took Paydan back to Disneyland on of the days. It was a lot of fun and it was nice to get some sibiling bonding time with just my little brother!
Back to what my parents were doing...
We thought it was a little strange that my dad HAD to go to SLC for these meetings and that my mom had to go too. I had asked him what exactly they were, but never got a super clear answer. Chris even grilled him on what they were all about. But I didn't really think much of it.
Well Friday night, my dad texts me and says make sure to watch Saturday Afternoon session of Conference and to keep him in our prayers. Hmmmm? What's up with that?!? So of course we begin spectulating what it is and then on Saturday we listen and we hear this:
(sorry the quality isn't great... and volume is low)
So my dad was called as a Area 70! I guess the one time it is okay for someone to mispronounce you name (Bussey, my maiden name) is when an Apostle does it! I am so proud of him and I am so grateful for the wonderful example he is to me in my life. I know he will be great and will be blessed!
Overall I had a FABULOUS spring break and I am so glad I got to spend that time with my family!

Wow! That is pretty neat!
My maiden name is Bewsey. I think you pronounce it the same!
Random right?!
What a neat experience for your family to have. Talon's dad has been an Area 70 for 5 years. It is hard and busy, but also very special for the whole family. We love to hear Talon's dad's stories of being on assignment with the 12 and all his meetings. Which area is your dad over? I wonder if he and Perry will interact at all.
Amanda! How cool! Congratulations to your Dad AND Mom! :) That's really neat.
WOW! That is awesome. Your dad / parents will do great! You have such a great family. Congrats to him!
Tell me what you think!
