Since my poor Sonics were stripped away from Seattle a few years ago I have slowly converted over to be a Laker Girl to join my man. Chris is an AVID fan, and has been for years. I sometimes worry that he will turn out like the guy in the movie below (you have to watch... this guy is hilarious!).
Since my poor Sonics were stripped away from Seattle a few years ago I have slowly converted over to be a Laker Girl to join my man. Chris is an AVID fan, and has been for years. I sometimes worry that he will turn out like the guy in the movie below (you have to watch... this guy is hilarious!).
So of course with the NBA playoffs we have had basketball on around the clock. I am such a supportive wife that I have allowed my husband to erase my set DVR recordings so that he can tape the "Lake Show" as he likes to call it.
We have even got to join together with other Laker fans on several occasions to watch them play.
Here we are at Buffalo Wild Wings with some of Chris' fellow POD students. It was a fun night and of course the Lakers won. Chris' dream of making a fellow student's (Jackie) photo album which he has been vying for all year.

We also got to watch last Saturday's game at our Friends the Jacksons' home with some other friends in the ward, which was LOTS of fun.Heres to a Laker Win tonight... as I am typing this post- and then on to another CHAMPIONSHIP!

On another note...
Chris - please inform your brother Wes that he needs to rediscover his childhood roots and start rooting for the Lakers. I was shocked and appalled to learn that a Jones cousin who was born and raised in SoCal does not like the Lakers.
Chris and Matt would get along beautifully. And because we live in the East, Laker's games are LATE. We are often up well into the night watching the Lake Show (last night, for example). And when I say "we" I mean Matt is awake, and I am asleep with my head on his lap.
Only you could make a Lakers shirt look that good! :)
