We made it!

So we have made it to our new home... CALIFORNIA. We are excited to be here and are really enjoying the wonderful weather and being close to family.

We took off early Tuesday morning and made the drive from Provo to Rancho Cucamonga. Thankfully we made it all in one piece with no major damage, except for to our wallets trying to fill up a huge truck gas tank with today's gas prices. Then we unloaded our whole lives into a storage unit (Thank to Wes and Chris for helping us) that was pretty small, its pretty pathetic that our whole lives fit in there!

Now we are just on the search for jobs and Chris now is seriously contemplating starting a window washing business. I would like to work in the education field but who knows, I may end up working at some retail job or something that I can get started pretty soon on. Then we will just wait patiently to see where else Chris gets into for his MPA program. So wish us luck!

WE'RE MOVING... SOON!

Chris and I have made our decision... we are moving to California.

For those who didn't know, Chris applied to MPA programs, 4 in California and 1 in Washington. We were hoping to hear back from most of the schools by now, but we have not...only one (Long Beach, which Chris got into). So we had to move forward with our decision on faith. We prayed, talked, looked long and hard at our choices and realized that it was better to move to California.

So we are going to be living with Chris' parents in Rancho Cucamonga for sometime. As soon as we hear from the other schools in California we will make our decision and look for places to live near the school we pick.

So right now our house in a mess with boxes and stuff everywhere! Its hard to pack because we have to think what stuff will go in storage while we are at his parent's house and what we will need while we are there. It is amazing to realize all the stuff you have as you try to put it all into boxes.

We are going to pack the moving truck on Monday and then take off early Tuesday morning.
We are quite excited, especially just to finally know the direction we are going! We look forward to being close to family and all CA has to offer.

However, it is beginning to hit me that we won't be back in Provo for who knows how long. It is a bit weird to say goodbye to a place that has helped define who were are and where we have so many memories!

our Fun California Trip!

So here is an update of our trip last weekend to California!

The highlights were

1. Seeing "Wicked" which was fabulous! I recommend that everyone go see it, even if you are not that into musicals I think you would enjoy "Wicked".
2. Going toDisneyland! I always love the place, I can never grow too old for it. And it is always especially fun when you can go with little kids!
   
3. Seeing family. We got to spend alot of fun times with Chris's family, and we even got to meet up with my family for a little bit while we were at Disneyland.

Here is one last cute one of our niece Maddie, we were in Urban Outfitters and Chris was looking for something to exchange so I kept Maddie busy by making her "dress up".

Our Presidents Day PLAN

OK... I am so EXCIXTED for tomorrow... when Chris and I take off for a much needed vac-ay.
WE are flying out in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow to fly to California.

That night I finally get my CHRISTMAS PRESENT! We are going to see WICKED the musical! I am sooooo exicted! I finally can be like all the other girls on Chris's side of the family being the last one to see it.


We will spend Sunday and Saturday with Chris's parents and his brother and sister's families. I am very excited to see them and my cute nieces and newphews!

Then on Tuesday we are going to the happiest place on earth...DISNEYLAND... which honestly I can never grow out of, and it will remind me of the last time we went which was on our honeymoon. But even more, I am excited becuase my family had also planned to go to Disneyland too. They have flown down from Seattle to be with my grandparents who live in CA and then are going to take my lil'bro and some of my cousins to Disneyland. So I get to see my parents TOO!!!


Then unfortunately it has to end sometime... so we fly back Tuesday night, just in time for me to gear up for another crazy week of teaching, and my last week with my 5th graders before I switch to another school.

Over memorial day weekend we went to california to visit Chris's family and also to go to a wedding of one of Chris's childhood Buddies.
It was fun to get out of provo for a weekend and see family, etc.
