So I completely spaced memory Monday last week.
This week I thought I would take a little bit of a different approach. I was inspired looking through some old pictures of Chris'.
I found these gems (there were actually more but I decided to hold back a bit).
Now I cannot really tell you the history behind these pictures becuase I was only a 9th grader at the time these were taken. So to my defense... this was all LONG before I knew Chris.
The only thing I know is that Chris is with LaVell in the first picture and in the second picture that is his friend Aaron Sheffield. However, I just couldn't resist sharing these with the world!
Maybe Chris will grace us with his blog presence and will actually post what these photos are. Until that time... we can all just laugh at them... haha. (Sorry Chris... I still love you!)

Memory Monday!

Is chivalry dead?
NO!
At least not for Chris.
As we left the post office earlier today, and Chris came over to open my door, like he ALWAYS does, I realized how grateful I am. Not every girl gets her doors opened for her, especially in today's world.
However, did you know that chivalry really doesn't have much to do with opening doors. Chivalry comes from a French word which means one who rides on a horse. Chivalry was more just a code of ethics for the knights back in the day. Instead we should be asking "is courtly love dead" (please don't confuse this with Courtney Love, the rock chick). Courtly love better defines the things we think Chivalry is today, such as doting over a woman. I found this list of courtly love steps and I thought it was too funny so I had to share it.

- Attraction to the lady, usually via eyes/glance
- Worship of the lady from afar
- Declaration of passionate devotion
- Virtuous rejection by the lady
- Renewed wooing with oaths of virtue and eternal fealty
- Moans of approaching death from unsatisfied desire (and other physical manifestations of lovesickness)
- Heroic deeds of valor which win the lady's heart
