It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home. ~Author Unknown

So today Chris and I are finally moving into our own place. We have been living for that past months with Chris's parents who have been so generous to let us stay. We have been saving money and trying to find the right HOME for us. We stumbled upon this townhouse on craigslist, not really even in the area we were mainly looking in. However, when we went to look at it we new it would be a great fit for us and just felt right.

I can't wait to set up our home and build many memories there. Wish us luck with our long day of moving.. and then let the unpacking BEGIN!!!!

-pictures will follow as soon as the place looks presentable-

We Made It!

So after a grueling 20 hour drive... we made it to our new home in California. I still feel like we are just on vacation here... hasn't quite sunk in that this is now our home (for at least 4 years). We are currently staying with Chris' parents til we get settled (with school and work?) and find a place of our own.

Update

So as I type Chris is about 15 miles away from Issaquah driving all our belongings from California.

This past week in a half I have spent about 8 hours a day in training where they are indoctrinating me on all the ins and outs of the district. I felt like I just took a college course condensed into like a week! WHOA! But hey I DO get college credit for it and get paid!

In the mean time Chris finished up the Jones Family reunion in CA (a post to come...promise) and had to pack up and move out all by himself... poor guy. What a trooper it is. He left early yesterday morning thinking he could get out and beat alot of traffic. However about 15 miles out the tire BLEW on the car trailer. Needless to say Chris was not a happy camper, becuase they company said the trailer was fine for our car, and then it took them about 5 hours to come out and help him fix it! So he got a way late start and had to spend the night in Redding, CA.

I am so happy to have him here! It has been 9 days since we have seen each other and for us that is WAY too long... we don't plan on doing that again!
