We Have FRIENDS!

... ok I know this sounds bad... but it is somewhat true.

Since coming to California we have been without friends to hang out with. Now don't get me wrong, we thoroughly enjoy hanging out with all the family down here but it is nice to have FRIENDS.

Well at our stake conference awhile ago Chris out-of-the-blue saw an old missionary companion Jordan Scott. Come to find out him, his wife (Lindsey) and his daughter (Ella) have been in the stake for almost a year and just live like 2 minutes from us. We were very excited to have people our age to hang out with.

I am sorry to say it took us more than a month to finally get together with them, but we finally did last night. We went out to dinner at Chili's, which is the husbands' favorite place (us two wives just appease our husbands by going there). Then we went back to their apartment for dessert and then we relaxed in their complex's pool and hot tub. It was fun to catch up and see there adorable little girl again (seriously, this girl is about as cute as they come... I kinda want to steal her, but don't tell Jordan and Lindsey).

I agree! Finding couple friends is so hard, yet so enjoyable when it actually happens! I'm sad we don't live by each other--but glad for you that you have some pals!

AND, did you hear about Joy winning the surfing championship??? That's so amazing!

Anyway, I love you and miss you. Hope all is well :)

We had lots of fun too. We have to do it again soon (not in a month). I so glad you guys are down here and hope your future plans keep you down here so we can hang out even more.

I'm so glad you found friends.
I can't imagine how hard it would be to leave BYU where everyone is your age and to try and find friends elsewhere.

So I'm finally here to comment on my favorite memory with you. I guess one of my favorite memories with you was when we had to conive a plan to trick the students into choosing the read aloud book we wanted. At the time it seemed like such a big deal but looking back now I think it's halarious that we sought out others opinions, spent days thinking about it, and wasted much class time arguing with the kids about it. I just loved having you as a student teacher and will always remember how amazing you were from day one. I just wish you were still in Utah teaching on our fifth grade team.
P.S. Any word on becoming a librarian?
