Dodger Game

We were invited to the Dodger Game by our friends Whitney and Ryan in our Ward a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful night and it was great first experience for me at Dodger Stadium. It is actually a cool stadium nestled in the hills with some great views of the city.

Don't worry I tried a DODGER DOG too!

Swing Batter, Batter!

Last night we got a chance to go to our nephew Carter's baseball game. We went to one earlier in the season and it was fun to see how he has gotten better... and this time I brought my camera.

It is so cute to see Carter play... they are all just so small! It was great to also see Maddie and Sawyer play (and snap their pictures) and hang out with little Libby!

Here are some pictures:
I actually got a few good pictures of Sawyer... who is usually the elusive and tricky one to snap a picture of.

I bribed him with gum to sit and take a picture with me.

I love this picture of Chris with Libby. I can't wait to see him in action with our own kids in the future.

Maddie... man she is growing up fast- they all are!

Sawyer playing around on the playground.

Carter up to bat... he his a double!

Chris and Libby Lou!

How can you not LOVE that face!

I am so glad that we live close to them and get to be a part of their activities and watch them grow up!

Take me out to the ball game!

Thanks to my Dad we got to enjoy the sunshine (which FINALLY came) at Opening Day for the Mariners. It was great, no only becuase my "favorite" player Yuniesky Betancourt had the winning play, but also becuase we got to sit in one of the BOXES! Chris loved it becuase he could have as much food as he wanted and not pay a dime! Plus they gave us free magnets and M's hats!

Take me out to the ball game...

So a little over a week ago My family invited Chris and I to the Mariner Fan Night for Season Ticket holders (my dad's company are some). We gladly accepted... I mean come on... a trip down to Seattle, fun times in the Stadium and Dinner to top it off!

Upon arrival to the stadium we were given free hot dogs, cracker jacks and soda and then moved along to get autographs (unfortunately from two unknown players, one of which got trader like four days later!). After that we got to spin the wheel for free merchandise... I am happy to announce we are the proud new owners of a tin Mainer lunch box. Then we headed down onto the field. Chris caught some pop flies in left field and then we both ran the bases. We ended in the dugout, hence the very unflattering picture of me on the bottom left... I was trying to pose like a too-cool baseball player.

We felt pretty special to be on the field. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to given Yuniesky (isn't that the COOLEST NAME!) a high five, but sadly he was not there!

We finished the night off at the wonderful Icon Grill in downtown. I had a HUGE helping of spaghetti and meatballs and Chris was finally able to get some good meatloaf!

Thanks MOM And DAD!

Take me out to the ball game...

On Monday evening we got to go to the Angel's game with Wes, Kristy, and Brady. It was a lovely evening and fun to be with more Jones'. Also Brady acted exceptionally well for a 2 year old at a baseball game. I especially loved his imitation of swinging a bat... so cute! Thank for inviting us Wes and Kristy!

Also.. I found a better picture of Katie Holmes hair, what do you think? In these she has much more subtler bangs... the other ones were pretty thick and drastic. I appreciate the comments before about the hair too. I think I will set up an appointment next week.
