Snip... Snip

Ok so I finally got my haircut... thanks to all the comments that motivated me even more to do it!

I went in earlier today to Jade Aveda Salon/Spa to get my haircut. It was great... I got a Neck/Scalp message to start off the cut and then while I was in the shampoo chair I got an arm message. Now that's what I call service! Since this was my first time at this salon I had no clue who my stylist was...well he was a petite (I am sure he would love to be called that...ha), trendy guy named James. This is the first time I have ever had a male cut my hair... but no beef here. He did a wonderful job. I took in the pictures of Katie Holmes and so as the cut progressed he kept saying that I looked like her. He said, quote "all you need is some big sunglasses and you will have paparazzi all over you!" I guess that it a pretty good compliment.

Well I love it! This is one of the best cuts I have had in a long time! Thanks James!

Here are some pictures... I personally don't think they quite to the cut justice.

Take me out to the ball game...

On Monday evening we got to go to the Angel's game with Wes, Kristy, and Brady. It was a lovely evening and fun to be with more Jones'. Also Brady acted exceptionally well for a 2 year old at a baseball game. I especially loved his imitation of swinging a bat... so cute! Thank for inviting us Wes and Kristy!

Also.. I found a better picture of Katie Holmes hair, what do you think? In these she has much more subtler bangs... the other ones were pretty thick and drastic. I appreciate the comments before about the hair too. I think I will set up an appointment next week.

Two heads are better than one...

Ok well, both of us have had recent changes on our head region. Let's just say one was more pleasant than the other. Last Friday, it was pouring rain and Chris had an intramural football game. I can't tell you how excited I was to sit and cheer him on while getting soaked. Well about ten minutes into the game Chris went in for this AMAZING catch, and well so did the defender, who I believe was not wearing cleats so lets just say he didn't have the most control. Well it ended up that they, for lack of a better word, collided, but no worries Chris still made he catch. Well all of the sudden I can see something red on Chris's face. Well, he was bleeding from a "decent" sized cut/slash on the side of his eye, well and we all know head wounds can BLEED. We tried our best to clean it up and got it to stop, the rain came in handy to wash of the blood. So we took off for the ER because it was pretty apparent that he would need stitches. After sitting in the ER for about 45 minutes, entertaining ourselves watching all the other patients, in all their wide variety, Chris was taken back and given 7 beautiful blue stitches. However, I don't think that was the worse part for him. Chris could not remember when the last time he had a tetnis shot so well to be safe they gave him one. Well the next day he could barely lift his arm it was so sore and of course his eye had turned a variety of beautiful colors. But all I know is that I am grateful it was just a couple of stitches and not a broken bone or a torn ligament.
Well the change to my head was my hair! I cut about 7 inches off my hair, and it was the best feeling ever!!! I had been wanting to cut my hair for awhile, my long hair was driving me crazy and I was alway to lazy to do anything with it. So I figure with like half the amount of hair to worry about I will be more likely to style it. I was a little nervous because I went to a new salon and last time I cut this much hair off (like 3 years ago) the girl butchered it, but I was ecstatic to see my hair when the girl finished this time, it was prefect, just what I wanted. the picture isn't the best picture to show it off, but you get the idea.
